Would you sit with Linus Van Pelt in a lonely pumpkin patch on Halloween night waiting for the Great Pumpkin?  Linus and Sally give up the chance to go Trick Or Treating to wait for The Great Pumpkin who supposedly gives gifts to children on Halloween Night.
 

"It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" is one of my all time favorite Peanuts cartoons.  I think that it is kind of sad, but really what Charlie Brown cartoon doesn't have a sad moment or two?   I think my favorite part is the very beginning when Linus and Lucy pick out a pumpkin, take it home, Lucy starts to carve, and Linus says, "Ohhhh! You didn't tell me you were going to kill it!" You can watch the clip below:
 

It's truly not Halloween without It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! It's a true classic that fills me with so much nostalgia, especially when I hear the The Great Pumpkin Waltz, which is playing on this page!
